Grief and Trauma Counselling

Grief and trauma can affect everyone differently.  Following the loss of a loved one or a traumatic experience, you may experience feelings such as shock, anger, guilt, anxiety, numbness or a sense of being overwhelmed.  There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and these feelings do not necessarily occur in a particular order.  Counselling can provide a safe and supportive space to help you understand and work through your experience at your own pace.

Creating Safety and Stabilization

 - Providing a safe, supportive and non-judgement space to talk.

 - Learning practical grounding and calming strategies when emotions feel         overwhelming.

 - Working at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable for you.

 - Working through difficult thoughts and feelings at your own pace.

 - Rebuilding confidence, hope and a sense of security to move forward in a happy,           positive way.
